Rays Power Infra Limited has secured a significant renewable energy project valued at approximately ₹1,912 crore from a Maharatna public sector undertaking, further strengthening its order book, which already exceeds ₹8,000 crore. The contract involves the development of a 300 MW renewable energy project to be executed under a co-development model. The scope of work includes land acquisition, interstate transmission system connectivity, and end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
The project is planned within one of the company’s upcoming renewable energy parks in Karnataka and is expected to be commissioned over the next three years. An important aspect of the development is the planned use of domestically manufactured solar modules. These modules will incorporate solar cells from an under-construction manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh being developed by Rays Power’s subsidiary, Rays Green Energy.
Industry observers note that the project reflects the increasing collaboration between private renewable energy developers and central public sector enterprises to scale up clean energy capacity. The initiative aligns with India’s broader renewable energy goals, emphasizing integrated project execution, domestic manufacturing, and timely delivery of large-scale infrastructure aimed at supporting the country’s energy transition.
